
Virtual idol group PLAVE topped the newly established Billboard Korea Hot 100 chart by Billboard headquarters and Billboard Korea. According to Billboard Korea on December 17, PLAVE's second single album PLBBUU's title track "BBUU!" ranked number one on the Billboard Korea Hot 100 chart for the week of December 5 to 11.
PLAVE's album track "Bongsunga" reached fifth place, while "Island" and "12:32 (A to T)" entered the chart at ninth and tenth place, respectively. This result proves PLAVE's strong fandom and musicality. In particular, "BBUU!" also ranked 170th on the Billboard Global 200 chart released on the same day, demonstrating competitiveness in the overseas music market.
The Billboard Korea Hot 100 is a chart that selects the most loved songs in Korea, compiled based on official data such as streaming usage data and music sales from major global and domestic music platforms. PLAVE's achievement is the first number one since the chart's establishment, following Hwasa's "Good Goodbye," which was the first to top the chart.
PLAVE's second single album PLBBUU recorded approximately 1.09 million copies sold in its first week. This is the second highest first-week sales for a boy group single album in history, marking a career high for PLAVE.
Additionally, PLAVE successfully concluded their first Asia tour through the "DASH: Quantum Leap Encore" concerts held at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome on November 21 and 22. The concerts strengthened communication with fans and increased the group's recognition.
PLAVE has recently gained high popularity both domestically and internationally through their music activities, raising expectations for their future endeavors. The group's musicality and fandom power were clearly demonstrated through this chart performance and sales.
