【The Fact | Reporter Lee Na-rae】Group PLAVE has claimed first place for 64 consecutive weeks on the Global Hot Star Ranking of the weekly idol ranking site FANNSTAR.

In the FANNSTAR Global Hot Star Ranking vote for the second week of December, held from December 8 to 15, PLAVE secured 3,093,725 votes to take the top spot. Stray Kids followed in second place with 1,411,639 votes, while N.SSign ranked third with 496,396 votes.

The Global Hot Star Ranking selects K-pop artists who have captured audiences worldwide. Fourth- and fifth-generation idols with strong global fandoms are nominated. The ranking is closely linked to The Fact Music Awards’ Global Hot Star Award, drawing significant attention from fans. The current vote serves as a preliminary round for next year’s Global Hot Star selection, with 20% of the results reflected in the final vote. The artist who finishes No.1 overall will receive the Global Hot Star trophy at the 2025 The Fact Music Awards.

According to FANNSTAR, artists who rank No.1 on the Global Hot Star Ranking for ten consecutive weeks will receive advertisements at Hongdae N Square in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Those who maintain the top spot for 30 consecutive weeks will be featured in wall-wrapping advertisements at Hongdae Station; 50 consecutive weeks will be celebrated on the Chandelier display at Lotte World in Jamsil, Songpa-gu; 70 consecutive weeks will be commemorated on digital billboards in Hong Kong and Paris; and 100 consecutive weeks will be honored on the Media Tower at Starfield Goyang in Gyeonggi Province.

In addition, special global rewards are granted to all artists who reach certain cumulative vote milestones regardless of ranking. At 100 million votes, ads will be displayed on billboards in the Philippines; at 200 million in Singapore; at 300 million in France; at 500 million in Hong Kong; and at 1 billion votes, on a digital billboard in New York.

Along with the news of PLAVE’s No.1 ranking, fans who participated in the voting sent congratulatory messages via the official FANNSTAR SMS inbox. A fan with the nickname “Ppyongppyoung” wrote, “I love you.”
