BLACKPINK's Jennie won the grand prize as a solo female artist at the 2025 Melon Music Awards. On the afternoon of the 20th, at the 2025 Melon Music Awards (The 17th Melon Music Awards, MMA2025) held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, Jennie was announced as the winner of the "Record of the Year" category. The judging period included all music released from October 31, 2024, to November 19, 2025.

After receiving the trophy, Jennie said, "I am so, so grateful to receive such a big award. This year has been very meaningful to me with my first album release and many other events. I am so happy to end the year on such a joyful note." She continued, "Is everyone at our company watching? I want to say thank you so much for all your hard work and that I love you. I am truly grateful to all the staff, especially those who helped create today's stage. I also want to thank all 50 dancers."
