BTS RM "2026 is our year"... Harsh words for HYBE

The group BTS openly expressed their frustrations with their agency, HYBE. On December 21, BTS held a group live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse and mentioned their comeback plans for next year. Leader RM said, "Let's make 2026 the year of BTS. Something really big is coming." J-Hope added, "2026 is an important year for us." In response to their remarks, Jimin expressed, "This period is the hardest," revealing his current feelings of frustration.

During the broadcast, RM expressed his disappointment with HYBE by saying, "I wish our company would show us a little more affection." The eldest member Jin responded, "But they are working hard on various things, aren't they?" However, RM emphasized, "I'm not sure. I don't usually say things like this, but I just wish they would care for us a bit more."

On December 16, BTS also expressed their frustrations about the comeback timing during a live broadcast. At that time, RM complained, "I want to get to next year quickly," and "The wait is too long." He revealed his impatience for the comeback by saying, "I'm so tired of 2025." RM requested, "I can't say how much preparation has been done, but when will the company announce the comeback date? I wish HYBE would announce it a bit sooner." Suga added, "They said there would be an announcement soon."

On a live broadcast on December 7, RM also shared his concerns about the team's future. He said, "I have thought tens of thousands of times about whether it would be better to disband or to pause the team," but added, "The reason we continue is because of the love among the members and the love and respect for our fans." He mentioned that many people around him ask, "Why did you just let the second half of 2025 pass?" and said, "We didn't want to waste time, and I personally wanted to be very active after my military discharge." However, he added, "There was a reason we decided not to be active in the second half, but I don't have the authority to talk about all of that."

RM confessed, "Our last concert was in October 2022, so it's been over three years since we performed. Of course, I sincerely want to be on stage," but also said, "A lot has changed over time, and that means we need preparation. Personally, the pressure is significant, and it's frustrating that we are just continuing to prepare."

All BTS members completed their military service in the second half of 2025, ending their military hiatus, and they have now started preparing a new album aiming for a full-group comeback in March next year. News of BTS's comeback is generating great anticipation among fans.
