Actor Cha Hyun-seung has been declared completely cured of leukemia. On December 22, Cha Hyun-seung shared the joyful news on his YouTube channel with the message, "Everyone, I'm cured." He stated, "The battle with illness that seemed endless finally came to an end on December 22, 2025."

After being diagnosed with leukemia, Cha Hyun-seung spoke about the pain he endured during chemotherapy. He said, "At first, the pain from chemotherapy was just hard and unbearable," adding, "One day, I realized that even the pain was part of the process keeping me alive, and from that moment, I started to smile." He continued, "I wasn't even expecting it to end, so it feels like receiving a Christmas gift."

Before receiving the cure diagnosis, Cha Hyun-seung shared footage on YouTube of himself waiting for the results of a bone marrow test at the hospital. When he entered the consultation room to hear the results, he felt relieved upon hearing the doctor say, "You are completely and cleanly cured." His attending physician advised, "You've been through a lot, so live doing everything you want. Just avoid things harmful to your body, like alcohol and smoking."

After returning home, Cha Hyun-seung expressed, "I came home after being declared cured. I can't believe it, and I feel so good and happy." He added, "I first went to the hospital in May, and now it's just before Christmas. It feels like I received a second life as a Christmas gift."

Cha Hyun-seung first revealed his leukemia battle on social media in September. He shared, "When the symptoms first appeared, I thought, 'No way,' but once I was certain, I wondered, 'Why is this happening to me?'" He also sent a message of encouragement to fellow patients, saying, "Rather than forcing yourself to overcome it, I think it's mentally better to believe it will pass calmly."

Cha Hyun-seung gained attention as a dancer on Sunmi's Waterbomb stage in 2018. Since then, he has been active in variety shows and dramas. He appeared in season 1 of Netflix's dating show Solo Hell in 2021 and recently starred in the Wavve series Damnation. After receiving the cure diagnosis, Cha Hyun-seung announced plans to audition and work hard to resume his acting career.
