Kim Yeon-woo takes an emotional journey on the 'Yeon-woo Express' at the Christmas concert

Singer Kim Yeon-woo held his Christmas concert "Oh My God Yeon-woo" at Kyung Hee University Peace Hall in Seoul on the 20th and 21st, successfully concluding the two-day performance. Kim Yeon-woo's Christmas concert, which began in 2009, meets audiences every year at the end of the year and continues to uphold its reputation as a "reliable and must-see performance."

This concert was themed "Yeon-woo Express." In the opening video, the audience boarded a train and shared a journey to the North Pole, and after the video ended, Kim Yeon-woo appeared by opening the train door, signaling the start of the performance. The audience immersed themselves in the stage, naturally participating in the flow of the performance beyond just being spectators.

The performance began with "Hello My Friend" and "To Be With You." Kim Yeon-woo conveyed his joy and excitement to the audience he met after a long time. He then performed songs themed around farewell, such as "Crumbs," "Farewell Taxi," and "If You Were Like Me," expressing emotions without exaggeration to enhance immersion. Audience events and witty remarks naturally refreshed the atmosphere of the concert.

In the middle part, the stages of "Good Goodbye" and "Endangered Love" followed. These two songs were reinterpreted with Kim Yeon-woo's vocals and live arrangements. Sojeong Lee participated as a guest on the 20th, and Yejun Lee joined on the 21st, harmonizing with Kim Yeon-woo with their distinct charms.

In the second half, genre expansion was attempted. The musical stage composed of "Moulin Rouge" and "Chicago" expanded the scale of the performance with performances alongside actors. The subsequent George Michael stage maximized the Christmas atmosphere with songs including "Last Christmas," completing the winter night's mood.

The latter part of the concert proceeded with Kim Yeon-woo's lyrical vocals from "Still Beautiful" to "I Was Happy... Goodbye." The setlist, designed according to the flow of emotions, strengthened immersion as the concert progressed.

In the final finale, all performers came on stage to greet the audience. This is a long-standing tradition and symbolic scene of Kim Yeon-woo's concerts, showing that both the performers and the audience are the protagonists of the performance.

This "Oh My God Yeon-woo" concert was completed with live sound created inside the venue without pre-recordings or backing tracks. The band's live performance and the cast's live vocals added to Kim Yeon-woo's breath and emotions, leading to high immersion. The concert's composition, direction, lighting, stage, and sound harmoniously combined to present a highly complete stage. This kind of performance clearly demonstrated why Kim Yeon-woo is chosen by audiences every year at the end of the year.
