Reexamination of 'Naraeba' Operation Amid Park Narae's Power Abuse Allegations... Former Managers Say They Worked Over 400 Hours

Controversy surrounding broadcaster Park Na-rae is intensifying. Recently, former managers have continued to expose allegations of power abuse by Park Na-rae. The former managers claimed that during her time running a one-person agency, Park Na-rae verbally abused them, forced them to run personal errands, and withheld event fees. They filed a provisional seizure of real estate worth approximately 100 million won at the Seoul Western District Court. Additionally, they submitted a complaint to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station on charges of embezzlement.

Park Na-rae's side rebutted, stating that the former managers pressured her with false claims after demanding 10% of the company's revenue and being refused. Consequently, Park Na-rae filed a counter-suit for attempted extortion. However, the controversy grew further when evidence emerged that Park Na-rae received illegal procedures from "Jusaimo," known as an unlicensed medical practitioner.

On December 8, Park Na-rae announced a suspension of her activities. Through her YouTube channel, she stated, "There are aspects of the current allegations that need to be calmly verified, and legal procedures are underway." She added, "I will not make any additional public statements or explanations during this process." Nevertheless, the former managers' revelations continue, and Park Na-rae remains embroiled in multiple suspicions.

In particular, on December 22, a YouTube channel released a video containing claims from former managers that they were busy preparing food and running errands during the operation of Park Na-rae's "Narae Bar." The former managers asserted, "On days when Narae Bar was open, we were extremely busy. We had to go to the fish market, and depending on the food Park Na-rae decided on, we even went to Gwacheon or Gangwon Province for pickups." They explained that once the Narae Bar party started, they had to wait inside the house and personally serve drinks whenever they ran out, including chilling the wine.

Furthermore, the former managers claimed that after Narae Bar ended, they were responsible for washing dishes, taking out the trash, hailing taxis for attending celebrities, and filming and sending videos. They reported that during their 1 year and 2 months of work, their monthly working hours exceeded 400 hours on average.

Park Na-rae's scene making 20 servings of Chuseok food on MBC's "I Live Alone" is gaining renewed attention. She prepared the food dressed in traditional Korean clothing early in the morning. She said, "Since I always make pancakes during the holidays, I thought I should share them with people around me. I prepared a modest 20 servings." However, the former managers claim that they were actually the ones who made the food.

In a past broadcast, Park Na-rae explained why she prepared the food alone by rhetorically asking, "Who would you call at 5 a.m.?" However, the former managers revealed, "The large quantity of pancakes featured in the holiday special was also fried by managers over the course of one or two days." These revelations have cast doubt on the authenticity of Park Na-rae's "big sister with many hands" character.

In 2019, Park Na-rae won the Grand Prize at the MBC Entertainment Awards and stated, "I am neither a good person nor a kind person." This statement is being revisited in light of the current controversy. The public interprets her past remark as a foreshadowing of the present situation.

Along with suing the former managers, Park Na-rae is embroiled in controversy related to illegal medical practices. The former managers applied for a provisional seizure of real estate against Park Na-rae and filed lawsuits on charges of special injury and defamation. Meanwhile, former Korean Medical Association President Lim Hyun-taek filed a complaint against Jusaimo regarding illegal medical practices.

The controversy surrounding Park Na-rae continues to expand, drawing intense public attention. Park Na-rae is currently undergoing legal procedures, and additional responses may be necessary depending on future developments.
