Hong Ji-yoon, a singer affiliated with Choi Lab, delivered a powerful performance in the first broadcast of MBN's new variety show "Active King of Singers 3." As a fifth-year active singer, Hong Ji-yoon took her first step toward the Taegeuk mark by challenging "Active King of Singers 3."

In the episode aired on the 23rd, Hong Ji-yoon wore a mermaid-line long dress and a large shell-shaped back accessory to embody "Venus." She appeared with an elegant atmosphere but caused laughter with a slapstick scene where she bumped the back of her head on the back accessory. While warmly greeting the participants, she also pledged fair competition.

Ranked second among the king candidates chosen by active singers, Hong Ji-yoon selected Hee Sisters' "Rumors" for her stage. She expressed confidence, saying, "I want to attach the label of national representative for Korea-Japan matches in front of the 'Trot Barbie' nickname given by the public. They say if you know yourself and your enemy, you will win every battle, so I am studying Japanese hard. I believe I am the right person for 'Active King of Singers.'"

Hong Ji-yoon explained the reason for choosing "Rumors," saying, "There are many groundless rumors, and I want to clear up the misunderstandings. There were many dating rumors, and even seniors asked if I was really dating that person. I met them on a broadcast, but I have never contacted them." She added that since it was her first stage, she went all-in with her event fee to prepare a special performance.

On stage, she wore a dazzling blue sequin mini dress and showcased refreshing vocal skills and stage manners. Creating a festive atmosphere, she completed an exciting performance that led the witch judges to sing along and cheer.
