Sunwoo of ENHYPEN received the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award for his contribution to leading the donation culture. Sunwoo attended the 20th Korea Social Contribution Awards ceremony held on December 23 at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. The Korea Social Contribution Awards is an event that discovers and honors individuals who have contributed to various fields of society, supported by 10 government ministries.
In his acceptance speech, Sunwoo said, "There are many people more outstanding than me, so I feel shy to receive such a big award," and explained the reason he started donating as "a desire to help." He also expressed, "I feel a responsibility to become someone who can have a positive impact on society. I will continue sharing without changing this heart."
Recently, Sunwoo made donations twice to Samsung Seoul Hospital. The funds were used for patient treatment costs and the operation of psychological and emotional support programs. He also contributed to disaster recovery efforts. In March, he extended a helping hand for the restoration and support of victims in areas affected by a large wildfire. His donation activities influenced the 'Donation Challenge.' ENGENEs, the fandom, voluntarily donated after seeing Sunwoo's actions and created a culture of sharing proof on social media.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN, the group Sunwoo belongs to, will release their 7th mini-album, THE SIN: VANISH, on January 16 at 2 PM next year. This album is highly anticipated by fans and is expected to showcase the group's musical growth.
