
KBS 1TV's "National Singing Contest" is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a "2025 Year-End Finals Special." On the 26th, KBS announced, "The 'National Singing Contest' airing on the 28th will be a grand celebration with a 140-minute '2025 Year-End Finals Special.'"
Famous singers such as Kim Sung-hwan, Jin Sung, Kim Yong-im, Yoo Ji-na, Young Tak, Song Ga-in, Lee Chan-won, and Miss Kim will appear as invited guests in this special. Lee Chan-won won the Excellence Award and Popularity Award on "National Singing Contest" in 2008, while Song Ga-in and Miss Kim received the Excellence Award in the year-end finals of 2010 and 2023, respectively. All of them are former participants of "National Singing Contest."
In particular, there will be a duet stage featuring Kim Yong-im and Yoo Ji-na, as well as a collaborative performance with Kim Yong-im, Yoo Ji-na, Young Tak, Song Ga-in, Lee Chan-won, and Miss Kim. The production team stated, "The invited singers' congratulatory stages and the outstanding talents who stood out in this year's 'National Singing Contest' will deliver breathtaking performances."
"National Singing Contest" airs every Sunday at 12:10 PM. The host, Nam Hee-seok, recently received the Producer Special Award at the "2025 KBS Entertainment Awards."
For 45 years, "National Singing Contest" has remained a nationwide participatory audition program. This year-end finals special will be even more meaningful as stars produced by "National Singing Contest" gather in one place.
The production team asked for high expectations, saying, "To celebrate the 45th anniversary of 'National Singing Contest,' we have prepared a festive stage." As the longest-running entertainment program in Korea, "National Singing Contest" connects with viewers every Sunday.
