Pledis selected as winner in the CI category at the German Design Awards... Recognized for innovation in K-pop label branding


Pledis Entertainment has been selected as the winner in the Corporate Identity (CI) category for Excellent Communication Design at the 2026 German Design Award (GDA). This award recognizes the innovation and completeness of Pledis' brand identity. The GDA, organized by the German Design Council established in 1953, is considered one of the top three design awards worldwide.

The GDA judging panel praised Pledis' CI, stating, "The brand's core message and design language visually interpret the pulse of artist performances impressively." They also added, "The combination of typography, color, and modular composition consistently builds a memorable identity."

Pledis' CI features a design visualizing the slogan "Performance becomes Pulse," characterized by the contrasting typefaces of the curved "Ple" and the solid straight "dis." This design symbolizes Pledis' unique rhythm and vitality and reflects the company's commitment to nurturing artists with diverse personalities to captivate the world with differentiated content.

Pledis stated, "It is meaningful that our CI, which embodies our philosophy, has been recognized on the global stage." They emphasized, "As a K-pop label that creates rhythms representing the spirit of the times, we will do our best to enhance the value of popular culture and support artists' growth based on our creative vision."

Since its founding in 2007, Pledis has expanded the foundation of K-pop through accumulated know-how and networks over many years. The company has discovered and nurtured talented individuals into shining stars, including producer BUMZU, singer and actor Hwang Minhyun, and groups such as SEVENTEEN, which has set numerous K-pop firsts, bests, and most records, and TWS, which has established itself as a "youth icon" beyond being the "best rookie."
