Han Eun-sung transforms into an entertainment reporter full of passion for exclusive stories in 'Waiting for Longitude'

Actor Han Eun-sung portrayed entertainment reporter Kim Doo-jin in JTBC's weekend drama "Waiting for Kyung-do," skillfully balancing slyness and humor to create a realistic character.

Han Eun-sung injected energy into the drama through his role as Kim Doo-jin, who relentlessly pursues exclusive stories. In episodes 1 and 2, he irritated Lee Kyung-do (played by Park Seo-joon) with his cheeky attitude, showing a playful rivalry. He obsessively dug into his relationship with Seo Ji-woo (played by Won Ji-an), enjoying gossip, and subtly sided with Ji-woo when colleagues mentioned her connection with Kyung-do, steering the atmosphere. When Kyung-do threatened to expose his weakness in an article, Kim Doo-jin quickly backed down, creating a delightful twist.

In episodes 3 and 4, his playful antics added fun to the drama. He mischievously teased Ji-woo when he found her visiting Kyung-do and became the target of Kyung-do's frustration after a slip of the tongue during a meeting while checking his phone. These varied charms brought subtle laughter.

In episodes 7 and 8, Han Eun-sung showcased a more seasoned side, emphasizing the character's presence. While avoiding Kyung-do, he remained cheeky and unyielding, displaying an annoying charm. After learning that Kyung-do and Ji-woo had reunited, he lightened the mood with his sly and playful demeanor. Additionally, when Kyung-do persistently asked about the source of reporter Ahn Da-hye's (played by Go Bo-gyeol) tip, Kim Doo-jin confessed that he had written the exclusive story about the courier sent to the entertainment department, revealing the coexistence of his ambition and professional ethics.

Han Eun-sung debuted in 2014 with tvN's "SNL Korea 5" and has built a stable filmography through various works such as the film "Goodbye Single," and dramas "Gentleman and Lady," "Sacred Divorce," "Welcome to Samdal-ri," and "Phantom Love." Recently, he has expanded his activities into variety shows by appearing on JTBC's "Gather and Kick 4."

JTBC's weekend drama "Waiting for Kyung-do" airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
