Seungkwan, a member of the group Seventeen, won a trophy for the first time in seven years at the '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards.' On December 29, he received the 'Hot Issue Award' at the ceremony held at the MBC Media Center Public Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul. He recently appeared as the manager of the 'Winning Wonder Dogs' team on the MBC program 'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung,' playing a vital role in energizing the show.

In his acceptance speech, Seungkwan said, "As a manager, I just picked up balls, encouraged the players, and did the cleaning." He added, "It is an honor to be here. I thank Director Kim Yeon-kyung and the players. I also want to express my gratitude to PD Kwon Rak-hee and the production team. Let's go for 'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung' Season 2." His remarks conveyed his affection for the program and gratitude toward the production staff.

Seungkwan showed genuine passion for volleyball on 'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung,' receiving positive responses from viewers and sports fans. He cheered the players the loudest during matches and offered comfort and encouragement when results were unfavorable. Known as a volleyball enthusiast, he also contributed to analyzing the opposing team's strategies, building an image as an 'all-around manager.'

Seungkwan previously won the Rookie Award in the Music & Talk category at the '2018 MBC Entertainment Awards.' His cheerful energy was also evident at this year's ceremony. He handed bottled water to player Pyo Seung-joo, who was preparing her acceptance speech, and assisted Director Kim Yeon-kyung closely, bringing smiles to the audience.

Seungkwan's activities extend to web variety shows as well. He is showcasing his witty speaking skills by taking on his first solo hosting role on 'Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo.' Additionally, he continues his music career. He formed a unit group with member Dokyeom and plans to release their first mini-album, 'Soya-gok,' on January 12 next year. The combination of the two main vocalists promises an album blending excellent vocal skills and deep emotion.
