K-pop fever shakes Japan's Tokyo National Stadium... 'Music Bank Festival' airs today


KBS 2TV announced that it will broadcast the '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan' for about 200 minutes starting at 8:30 PM on the 30th. This broadcast is planned as a special edition of 'Music Bank' and features the live performance held at the Tokyo National Stadium in Japan from the 13th to the 14th.

The festival attracted a total of 120,000 spectators. KBS stated that the broadcast will showcase various stages under the theme of the golden age of K-pop called 'Golden Road.' The lineup includes a total of 24 teams: Yunho, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, ITZY, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, NiziU, IVE, NMIXX, ANTHEM, Psykers, Boy Next Door, Zerobaseone, RISE, TOURS, NCT WISH, AILET, NEXG, IZNA, Kickflip, KIKI, Hearts to Hearts, IDIT, and CORTIS.

In particular, RISE will reinterpret TVXQ's 'HUG,' Hearts to Hearts will perform Girls' Generation's 'Genie,' IZNA will present Kara's 'Pretty Girl,' and CORTIS will showcase BTS's 'MIC Drop.' Additionally, TOURS and NEXG will surprise the audience with a unit stage featuring songs by SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids.

The Tokyo National Stadium was used as the main stadium for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and this is the first time a K-pop concert has been held there. KBS said, "We will convey the passionate energy of the site shared with 120,000 global K-pop fans."

The event will be hosted by Lee Jun-young and IVE's Jang Won-young. KBS emphasized that this broadcast will be an opportunity to once again confirm the global influence of K-pop.
