Jannabi, 'Night of Chorus' in Jamsil... Year-end festival united with the audience

On the 27th and 28th of last month, Jannabi's year-end and New Year concert, "Chorus Night 2026, The Party Anthem," was held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. During this performance, scenes of the artist and thousands of audience members singing together were created. Through Jannabi's signature song "She," the audience was divided into parts A, B, and C to sing in harmony, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

The venue was decorated with a year-end ambiance. In a space where sunset-colored lighting and a magnificent chandelier blended, background music such as "Take Me Home, Country Road," Elvis Costello's "She," and "My Way" played before the performance began. Jannabi appeared dressed in neat tuxedos, and the audience greeted them with thunderous applause and cheers.

As the first song, "My Joy, My Song," began, Choi Jung-hoon stood on a chair, and the audience sang along under his direction. The mood shifted with "Surprise!," featuring powerful playing by Kim Do-hyung. The audience stood and enthusiastically cheered. Choi Jung-hoon sang "Dreamland Starland" and "Joyful Joyful," drenched in sweat, while the audience jumped in unison with the stage.

The concert continued with an emotional stage. Songs like "Mirror," "Farewell Sadness," "Mother," and "Thoughts on an Autumn Night" were displayed on the screen with beautiful and poetic lyrics. Choi Jung-hoon's delicate vocals combined with the grand band performance gave the audience a warm experience as they murmured the lyrics. "Thoughts on an Autumn Night" was rearranged with a jingle bell melody, adding special fun.

Jannabi released their fourth full-length album this year and achieved many milestones, including being the first indie band to perform at KSPO DOME. Kim Do-hyung said, "I lived 2025 diligently. It was great to be with you all," and added, "I hope you shake off any regrets here today and move forward to a better 2026."

Songs from the fourth full-length album were also showcased during the concert. "Oh New York City" was performed in a longer version than the recorded track, and "New York City" was rewritten as "Seoul City," receiving applause from the audience. Choi Jung-hoon performed the entire "Jack Kerouac," bringing freshness. When singing "The hot summer night is gone, and what remains is shabby," Choi Jung-hoon delivered a poignant high note, earning cheers.

There was also a change in the highlight section of the concert where everyone jumps and enjoys. Following "Together!," "I WILL DIE FOR YOU♥x3," and "After School Activity" followed, eliciting an explosive response. Kim Do-hyung's dazzling guitar solo left a strong impression on the audience. The concert continued with "Good Boy Twist," "Did I Ever Love...," and "JUNGLE," with the audience going wild.

The concert's flow showed deep thought and meticulousness. "The hot summer night is gone, and what remains is shabby" transitioned into "Sound of Music," delivering a powerful impact. The songs "All Girls Girls 1: Birdman," "All Girls Girls 2: Rainbow," and "All Girls Girls 3: Glory" followed, with Jannabi telling stories of reality and evoking various emotions.

Finally, after singing "What's Up" and "Operation Youth!," Jannabi concluded the concert by saying, "We hope you have a wonderful new start in 2026. Please remember today for a long time." "Chorus Night 2026, The Party Anthem" will continue on January 3rd and 4th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan.
