【The Fact｜Reporter Lee Na-rae】Group PLAVE has claimed first place for 66 consecutive weeks on the Global Hot Star Ranking of the weekly idol ranking site FANNSTAR.

In the fourth week of December Global Hot Star Ranking vote, held from December 22 to 29, PLAVE secured first place with 3,534,924 votes. Stray Kids followed in second place with 979,260 votes, while NEXZ ranked third with 683,550 votes.

The Global Hot Star Ranking is a vote that selects K-pop artists who have captured audiences worldwide. Fourth- and fifth-generation idols with established global fandoms are eligible candidates. Notably, the ranking is linked to the Global Hot Star Award at The Fact Music Awards. The current vote serves as a preliminary round for next year’s Global Hot Star selection, with 20% of the results reflected in the final vote. The artist who finishes No. 1 overall will receive the Global Hot Star trophy at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards.

According to FANNSTAR, artists who rank No. 1 on the Global Hot Star Ranking for ten consecutive weeks will have a congratulatory video displayed on the horizontal digital billboard in Wangsimni, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Artists who maintain the top position for 30 consecutive weeks will be promoted through the Airport Railroad AM Board at Hongdae Station in Mapo-gu, while those who rank first for 50 consecutive weeks will be featured on the M Screen at Hongdae. Reaching 70 consecutive weeks at No. 1 will be celebrated at Carlo’s in Times Square, New York, and achieving 100 consecutive weeks will be commemorated on the Media Tower at Starfield Goyang.

Along with the news of PLAVE’s first-place finish, fans who participated in the voting sent congratulatory messages through the official FANNSTAR message box. A fan with the nickname “Jirit” wrote, “I’ll love you forever.”
