Actor Lee Je-hoon won the Grand Prize at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards. At the ceremony held on the 31st at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Lee Je-hoon received the prestigious Grand Prize for his role as Kim Do-gi, the protagonist of "Taxi Driver 3." This marks his second Grand Prize win following 2023.
The ceremony was hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Chae Won-bin, and Heo Nam-jun. The "2025 SBS Drama Awards" was organized to review and celebrate SBS dramas broadcast throughout the year.
The Grand Prize nominees included Han Ji-min from "My Perfect Secretary," Park Hyung-sik from "Treasure Island," Yoon Kye-sang from "Try: We Become Miracles," Go Hyun-jung from "Mantis: The Murderer's Outing," and Lee Je-hoon from "Taxi Driver 3." In his acceptance speech, Lee Je-hoon expressed gratitude to director Kang Bo-seung and his fellow actors, saying, "Thanks to the support and love for the drama, the series was able to come to life."
He added, "Acting is truly difficult. The more I want to do well, the harder it seems. There are many times I wonder if this is as far as I can go, but at those moments, I am thankful to the fans who give me strength."
This year, SBS achieved remarkable results. According to Nielsen Korea's 2025 major channel drama analysis, SBS dramas recorded a 2.3% rating among viewers aged 20-49, the only channel to surpass 2%. Household ratings reached 8.2%.
Among the top 10 mini-series ratings, five works—"My Perfect Secretary," "Treasure Island," "Return," "Space Mary Me," and "Taxi Driver 3"—ranked in the top 5, proving SBS's strength.
The Drama of the Year award went to "Taxi Driver 3." Based on the webtoon of the same name, the drama is a private revenge agency story that completes vengeance on behalf of wronged victims. Director Kang Bo-seung said in his acceptance speech, "We filmed with viewers in mind," adding, "From late 2024 to 2025, when we filmed this season, there were many socially frustrating and unjust events."
He continued, "We, the creators, also felt the same frustration as the viewers. 'Taxi Driver 3' expresses those feelings in a way that resonates deeply."
Jeon Yeo-bin shed tears of emotion as she received the Excellence Award. She said, "It is an honor just to be here among seniors I admire, and I am grateful to receive an award."
Kim Eui-sung won the Best Performance Award and said, "I want to act well, but it is not easy. I will be an actor who arrives on set on time and does not get irritated even when filming is long."
Yoon Kye-sang received the Directors' Award and expressed affection for his wife. He said, "My wife said she wished I would win an award once, and now that day has come," confessing his love.
