Actor Lee Seo-jin shared his honest thoughts on parenting, drawing both laughter and empathy.

On a recent variety show, the conversation naturally turned to “participating in childcare.” When Lee Ji-hye remarked, “In the past, men used to say they were ‘helping’ with childcare, but isn’t it something you do together now?”, Lee Seo-jin replied frankly, “I haven’t done it, so I don’t really know,” prompting laughter with his characteristically straightforward response.

Asked how much he thought he could handle, Lee Seo-jin paused before answering, “I think I’d be more attentive when it comes to childcare, but I’m not good at housework, so I don’t have confidence there.” He added with a smile, “I took care of my nephews a lot when they were young. I was younger back then.”

When Lee Hyun-yi commented, “It’s been a while since you’ve seen such young children, hasn’t it?”, Lee Seo-jin said, “I don’t think I could do it now. I’m interested, but I’ve gotten older.” He continued, “If I were asked to start parenting again now, it wouldn’t be easy,” revealing his realistic mindset.

Finally, when asked if he had any thoughts about raising children now, he wrapped up the conversation with, “They say life is easier without children.” His calm yet candid remark filled the studio with both laughter and understanding.
