“Someone Crossed the Line, Someone Chose to Believe”: Cracks Revealed in the Sook Haeng Controversy

As the controversy surrounding singer Sook Haeng and an alleged adultery lawsuit continues, the married man involved has spoken out, revealing another layer of the situation. Rather than a simple battle over facts, the issue centers on how responsibility should be defined as relationships form and ultimately break down.

In a recently released YouTube video, the man detailed his relationship with Sook Haeng and the current circumstances. He repeatedly emphasized that although he is legally married, his marital relationship had effectively collapsed years ago, stating that “only the paperwork remained” and that they were living separately with divorce in mind.

He explained that his connection with Sook Haeng did not begin as a planned romantic relationship but through professional interactions mediated by a longtime acquaintance. While emotional involvement did occur, he stressed that it was not something that could initially be defined as a formal relationship, and that Sook Haeng acted based on the explanations he provided.

Addressing the controversy over CCTV footage showing physical affection and allegations of cohabitation, he firmly denied living together. While Sook Haeng did visit his residence, he argued that interpreting this as cohabitation was an exaggerated assumption, and expressed frustration that isolated scenes were used to define the entire relationship.

He repeatedly described Sook Haeng as a possible victim in the situation, saying that “everything ultimately stemmed from my explanations and decisions.” He voiced concern that, as a public figure, she became the primary target of public scrutiny, with unverified claims rapidly spreading and impacting her personal life and career—something he likened to a witch hunt.

According to him, he wishes to proceed with a divorce, while his wife does not. Amid the legal disputes and public confrontation, he said that rather than escalating attacks, a mutual and amicable resolution would be necessary for the sake of their children and each party’s future.

In closing, he expressed remorse over the blame being directed toward Sook Haeng, repeatedly stating that the responsibility lies with him. He said that if there were any financial or emotional damages, he should bear the burden, and expressed hope that he and his wife could reach a resolution through dialogue rather than further conflict.
