Sechs Kies member Kim Jaeduck has shared an update for the first time in nearly five years.

On December 31, Kim uploaded a single photo to his personal social media account without any caption. The image shows an ocean view, seemingly taken from inside a hotel, with a striking red sun setting beyond the horizon.

The unexpected post after years of silence immediately drew reactions from fans, who expressed relief and happiness with comments such as “I’m glad you’re okay,” “Is this a New Year’s gift?” and “We’re always supporting you.”

Kim had not posted any updates since May 1, 2021, raising concerns among fans. In 2024, Eun Jiwon revealed on KBS2’s variety show House Husband Season 2 that he had been unable to contact Kim, fueling rumors about his disappearance.

At the time, Eun Jiwon’s phone call went unanswered, and fellow member Jang Suwon also stated that he had no idea where Kim was. Later, Jang reiterated on his personal channel that he still hadn’t been able to reach him.

Against this backdrop, the newly shared photo carries special meaning, delivering reassurance to fans even without words.
