ATEEZ is anticipating a second peak in 2026, the year of the Byeong-O. During 2025, which marked their 7th debut anniversary, they reached the top of the Billboard charts, renewed contracts, and recorded career highs. ATEEZ stated, "Now we have the mindset of our first year again," using their original intent as a weapon to pursue higher goals.
Debuting on October 24, 2018, ATEEZ has steadily grown over the past seven years. In 2025, they continued active promotions by releasing two albums in their home country and one album in Japan. They made a mark on global charts with those albums and solidified their position as 'world-class' through a world tour. Notably, 'Golden Hour: Part 2', released in 2024, achieved its second number one on the 'Billboard 200'.
The music achievements of ATEEZ are also noteworthy. The title track of their mini album, 'Golden Hour: Part 3', titled "Lemon Drop," reached number 69 on the Billboard 'Hot 100', while "In Your Fantasy" entered at number 68. They are one of the teams that have made it onto that chart among K-pop boy groups, alongside BTS and Stray Kids. Billboard recognized ATEEZ's musical success by ranking "Lemon Drop" as the highest-ranked K-pop boy group song in the list of '25 Best K-pop Songs of 2025'.
In November 2025, they won the top award, '2025 Grand Artist', at the '2025 Korea Grand Music Awards'. This marks ATEEZ's second consecutive win after receiving the '2024 Grand Honors Choice' award at the inaugural ceremony in 2024. Hongjoong of ATEEZ said, "As the saying goes, 'the magical 7 years,' the 7th anniversary is an important time for K-pop idols," and added, "That's why we have been striving hard to prepare more."
Minki emphasized, "2025 has been a fertilizer for our team," stating, "It was a year filled with many new attempts and achievements." He further added, "I thought the group might become complacent in the seventh year, but the new attempts and passion returned as rewards." ATEEZ vowed to continue this passion into 2026.
ATEEZ has gained attention for their unique music and intense performances. They have showcased a different level of live performance with their distinctive team color, 'Mara-mat'. In 2021, they made a leap by delivering overwhelming performances in Mnet's 'Kingdom: Legendary War'. In 2023, they achieved the top position on the 'Billboard 200' with their second studio album.
In 2024, they made headlines as the first K-pop boy group to perform at the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival', the largest music festival in the United States. Last year, they captivated K-pop fans worldwide through their world tour 'In Your Fantasy', holding a total of 14 performances across 12 cities in North America with stadium shows.
ATEEZ expressed a strong thirst for the stage. They conveyed, "While we do perform a lot, we have a strong desire to be on even more stages." They are focusing on impactful music and performances rather than just results, stating, "We feel a responsibility to show quality content."
In 2025, they announced a '7-year re-contract' for all members, establishing a stable foundation. ATEEZ remarked, "After being active for over 7 years, each of us could look in different directions, but we are still looking in the same direction," adding, "We have created a blueprint with a sense of stability for the next preparations."
Their goals for 2026 are clear. ATEEZ expressed, "We want our music and stage to leave an impression on someone," and added, "We hope more people will come to know ATEEZ." They also shared their desire to achieve good results on domestic charts and to quench the thirst of domestic fans through various activities.
