Extreme Crew challenges to travel to the Arctic after completing the Medoc Marathon... The first Korean to challenge the 'Polar Circle'.

After successfully completing the Medoc Marathon, 'Extreme 84' revealed preparations for their new challenge, the Arctic Marathon. In the 6th episode aired on January 4th, MBC's 'Extreme 84' depicted the Extreme Crew's experiences during the latter part of the Medoc Marathon, alongside their preparation for the Arctic Marathon. The Extreme Crew achieved their goals in the Medoc Marathon, and Kian84 expressed gratitude towards the crew members. This scene garnered an impressive peak viewer rating of 4.9%, moving many audiences.

The latter part of the Medoc Marathon was filled with challenges. Kian84 struggled from the beginning due to the heat and hangover, and in the later stages, he faced a situation where he was on the verge of collapsing from vomiting. He expressed his regret over drinking the day before, saying, "I think I'm going to be sick. I feel nauseous." As runners started to drop out, Kian84 steadied himself and continued the race. Upon finding ice cream at the 41km mark, Kian84 remarked, "It felt like meeting an angel," and he started running again with renewed energy. He completed the marathon with a time of 5 hours, 4 minutes, and 59 seconds, but couldn't hide his disappointment about the record and his performance.

Tsuki also faced a tough race. After passing the halfway point without issues, he suffered a sprained ankle at the 28km mark. Despite the pain causing him to tear up, Tsuki continued running. Kwon Hwa-woon watched over Tsuki's condition, acting as a pacemaker. The two held hands and moved toward the finish line, succeeding in completing the marathon in 6 hours, 17 minutes, and 45 seconds. Lee Eun-ji successfully completed her half marathon challenge, ensuring that all members of the Extreme Crew achieved their personal goals. After the race, the four expressed gratitude and encouragement to each other.

While feeling regret about his record, Kian84 showed appreciation for Lee Eun-ji, who supported him, Tsuki, who reminded him of the excitement of a first challenge, and Kwon Hwa-woon, who took care of the crew members. The Medoc Marathon made the Extreme Crew reflect on the meaning of 'us.'

After finishing the Medoc Marathon, the Extreme Crew prepared for their new challenge, the 'Arctic Polar Circle Marathon.' This event is notorious for its courses requiring runners to traverse extreme cold, snowstorms, and endless glaciers. The Extreme Crew aims to participate in this marathon as the first Koreans to challenge their limits. In that day's broadcast, new crew member Kang Nam joined for the Arctic Marathon. Kang Nam recalled a moment when Kian84 and Kwon Hwa-woon left him behind during a run, saying, "At that time, my pride was hurt, so I ended up running 20km to catch up."

The Extreme Crew sought out polar experts to kickstart their preparations for the Arctic Marathon. The expert emphasized the importance of gear such as waterproof running shoes, layering, and crampons, explaining the necessity of preparation for survival. Subsequently, Kian84, Kwon Hwa-woon, and Kang Nam set their respective goals and strategies, ramping up their preparations. Kwon Hwa-woon aimed for first place, while Kian84 and Kang Nam set their sights on completing the race within the time limit.

During the packing process, the personalities of the three were distinctly revealed. Kian84 felt perplexed with the increasing load, while Kwon Hwa-woon filled three suitcases with thorough preparations. Kang Nam finished his preparations with Kwon Hwa-woon's assistance. The preparations for the Arctic were depicted interestingly in their own ways.

The Extreme Crew is drawing attention to what unpredictable outcomes await in the snowfields and in the great outdoors. Having completed two extreme marathons, interest is growing in how the Extreme Crew will perform in the ultra-extreme environment of the Arctic. 'Extreme 84' airs every Sunday at 9:10 PM.
