Lim Jae-beom concludes his 40th anniversary tour with a spectacular finale... "I will step down from the stage."

Singer Lim Jae-beom has officially announced his retirement from the music industry. On January 4, Lim Jae-beom shared the news of his retirement through his social media, stating, "I plan to step back from the stage after this 40th anniversary tour." He expressed, "I hesitated for a long time before sending this message to my beloved fans. When I tried to say it out loud, I found it hard to gather the courage to face you, so in this final moment, I decided to convey it in writing."

Lim Jae-beom mentioned that while his heart still burns when he stands on stage, he had to acknowledge that the situation has become difficult to handle with just that passion. He said, "I have thought about this for a long time. I have reflected countless times and fought with myself many times. And today, I want to honestly share my feelings with you for the first time."

He acknowledged that the decision to retire is not an easy choice for both himself and his fans. Lim Jae-beom stated, "You were the beginning of my songs, and the reason I was able to endure. And even at this moment of conclusion, you are still standing by my side." He added that he hopes this choice will not blur the time spent together or leave only regrets.

Lim Jae-beom said, "I thought that stepping out at the best time, in the most beautiful days, is my last pride and a way of showing gratitude," and promised, "For the remaining last stages of the 40th anniversary, I will give you everything I have, all the remaining strength and heart." He expressed his desire to complete this journey quietly but sincerely in his own way.

Finally, he conveyed, "To everyone who has loved my songs, and to all of you who have walked alongside my life, I sincerely thank you and I am truly sorry. I hope you will keep this sentiment warmly in your memories."

In an interview aired on JTBC's 'Newsroom' on the same day, Lim Jae-beom hinted at his retirement, saying, "My daughter is the most precious. Personally, I have almost no friends, and when I'm not working, I spend time talking and listening to music with my daughter," adding, "I am happiest when she smiles." He said, "I love you so much. The reason I have been able to endure until now is you, and I will continue to live looking at you."

Meanwhile, Lim Jae-beom is set to perform in Seoul on January 17 and 18. He plans to bid farewell to his fans during this concert. Lim Jae-beom debuted in 1986 with the first album of the band Sinawe and has been recognized as a representative vocalist of the Korean music industry, leaving behind many hit songs such as "For You," "Emergency," "Confession," and "Deeper Than Love."

He expressed concern that fans might be too surprised by the retirement announcement but urged them to support all other musicians even after his departure. He mentioned the song "Greeting," released in September last year, as one he would like to perform at his final concert, saying, "Originally, it was a song for the fans, but I hope they can sing it while sending me off."

Lim Jae-beom's retirement is expected to have a significant impact on the Korean music scene. His unique tone and exceptional vocal ability will be remembered by many. Fans will reflect on their precious memories with him through his final performance.
