Broadcaster Kim Gura assessed the billiards skills of Tak Jae-hoon and Shin Dong-yup. On January 4th, during the SBS show 'My Ugly Duckling,' actor Ha Hee-ra appeared as a guest, and a billiards match between Shin Dong-yup and Tak Jae-hoon took place. Actors Ahn Jae-wook, Jung Joon-ho, and comedians Kim Joon-ho and Jo Jin-se joined to watch the game.
Ahn Jae-wook mentioned his 30-year relationship with Shin Dong-yup and praised his billiards skills. He recalled, "Shin Dong-yup supported friends with billiards since his days in Seoul Arts College," adding, "He covered the bar tab with the money he made from billiards." He also explained, "There's a billiards hall in Sinchon where only experts gather to compete, and he was skilled enough to win there."
Shin Dong-yup commented on his peak performance, saying, "I played around 400 points back then. It was like running 100 meters in 11-12 seconds." When Seo Jang-hoon asked, "Wasn't it 500?" Shin Dong-yup humorously replied, "It varied a bit each time."
Jung Joon-ho remarked on Tak Jae-hoon, saying, "Jae-hoon is also quite skilled. Rather than traditional stylish sports billiards, he is good at a more aggressive style." He mentioned that once he starts hitting, he has a strong cue shot. He pulled out equipment like a shiny towel, personal chalk, cue correction tools, and billiard ball cleaner from his bag and handed them to Tak Jae-hoon, wishing him victory.
There was also a phone connection with Lee Soo-geun and Kim Gura. Lee Soo-geun stated, "If we just play, Shin Dong-yup does well, but if there's something at stake, Tak Jae-hoon performs better." Kim Gura added, "In the past, when the three of them worked on a program together, Shin Dong-yup played a bit better. However, Shin Dong-yup gradually moved towards drinking, while Tak Jae-hoon consistently played billiards. If it turns into a brawl, Tak Jae-hoon would do better."
The broadcast created an interesting atmosphere not only through the billiards skills of the two but also with the support and evaluations from their colleagues. Each participant had the opportunity to reaffirm the billiards skills of Shin Dong-yup and Tak Jae-hoon through their match.
