Fans of singer Kim Yong-bin shared warm support with the local community at the end of the year.
On December 31, Kim Yong-bin’s fan club “Geumsujeo” partnered with the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross to carry out a “Hearty Lunchbox Sharing” initiative for underprivileged residents, marking the end of the year with meaningful action.
The event was made possible through voluntary support from the fan club of Kim Yong-bin, a Daegu native and winner of TV Chosun’s “Mr. Trot 3.” As fan-led donations and volunteer activities continue to grow, this initiative stood out as a positive example of how support for a star can expand into community giving.
The lunchboxes, consisting of rice, soup, and side dishes, were delivered to 250 underprivileged households in the Dong-gu area. Members of the fan club and Red Cross volunteers worked together in preparing and packaging the meals, adding sincerity to the effort.
Bae In-ho, head of the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross, expressed gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thank the fan club and volunteers who came together to support neighbors in need at the end of the year. We will continue to carry out various community-based sharing activities to support vulnerable groups.”
What began as fans’ support was delivered to the community as a warm meal, leaving a meaningful memory at the close of the year.
