BTS member Jung Kook has surpassed 10.2 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, setting a new benchmark for K-pop solo artists. The achievement is especially significant as it reflects long-term, consistent listening rather than short-lived popularity.
The record represents the total number of streams from all tracks credited to Jung Kook’s personal Spotify account, accumulated through sustained global listener engagement. Reaching 10.2 billion streams in the shortest time among Asian artists highlights how his music has moved beyond trends into everyday listening.
Jung Kook’s Spotify account continues to generate approximately six million streams per day, regardless of promotional activity. Notably, four songs—“Seven,” “Left and Right,” “Standing Next to You,” and “3D”—have each surpassed one billion streams, a first for an Asian solo artist.
In particular, “Seven” has exceeded 2.7 billion streams, setting both the fastest and first record for an Asian artist’s song. The track is widely regarded as a rare example of long-term consumption in the global pop market.
His chart performance further underscores this sustainability. Jung Kook has remained on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart with “Seven” and the Weekly Top Albums Global chart with his solo album “GOLDEN” for 128 and 112 weeks respectively—the longest runs ever by an Asian solo artist.
He also achieved the fastest 1 billion streams with “Dreamers,” “Left and Right,” and “Stay Alive,” while “Seven” broke records for the highest weekly streams and the shortest time to reach 100 million and 1 billion streams. Four of these achievements have been officially recognized by Guinness World Records.
Jung Kook’s 10.2 billion streams represent more than a collection of “firsts” and “fastest” milestones. They stand as a testament to repeated global listener choice and a model for how K-pop solo artists can achieve lasting impact in the global music market.
