
Singer Lim Young Woong continues to perform good deeds in the New Year of 2026. On the 6th, the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation announced that Lim Young Woong donated the prize money of 2 million won, awarded in the December King of Good Stars competition, to support medical treatment costs for children suffering from childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare intractable diseases.
Good Star is a donation platform service that supports the positive influence of stars, operated by allowing fans to watch videos and songs of participating singers in the competition and carry out missions to donate prize money based on rankings. Through Good Star, Lim Young Woong has achieved a cumulative donation amount of 118.02 million won.
From January 2 to 4, Lim Young Woong held the 'IM HERO' concert at the Daejeon Convention Center, showcasing a dynamic production and live band sound centered around his second studio album and hit songs. After the Daejeon concert, Lim Young Woong is scheduled to perform at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from January 16 to 18, and will also perform at Bexco in Busan from February 6 to 8.
The medical treatment cost support program of the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation targets children diagnosed with childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare intractable diseases under the age of 25. The support amount ranges from a minimum of 5 million won to a maximum of 30 million won, and is used for surgery costs, hospital treatment costs, transplant fees, purchase of rare medicines, and hospital assistive device support.
Hong Seung-yoon, the director of the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation, expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for adding warm hands for the children in this cold winter," and urged continued support and interest for the children.
Founded in 2001, the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation is a non-profit foundation registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, actively engaging in various activities including medical treatment cost support for children with childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases, regular and one-time care treatment cost support, emotional support, blood donation campaigns, and operation of shelters for children with childhood cancer.
Lim Young Woong's donation provides practical help to children suffering from childhood cancer and rare diseases, and his positive influence is bringing about meaningful change in society.
