tvN 'Spring Fever' premiered with a viewership rating of 4.8%... ranked first in the same time slot among the 2049 demographic.

The tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Spring Fever,' starring Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin, premiered on January 5. The drama revolves around the fateful meeting of teacher Yoon Bom (played by Lee Joo-bin), who lives in a chilly atmosphere, and the passionate man Sun Jae-kyu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun). The first episode brought joyful laughter and excitement to the viewers, capturing their interest.

The first broadcast of 'Spring Fever' recorded an average nationwide rating of 4.8% and a peak of 6.1%, based on paid platforms that include cable, IPTV, and satellite. In the metropolitan area, it achieved an average of 4.7% and a peak of 5.8%. Notably, the viewer rating for tvN's target demographic of men and women aged 20-49 ranked first across all channels during the same time slot, including terrestrial channels. This shows that the drama established a solid presence right from its premiere.

Yoon Bom was once a popular teacher in Seoul but now lives voluntarily as an outsider in Sinsoo-eup. He wished to lead a quiet life in the village, but the reasons behind his move remain unclear, placing him at the center of various rumors. Yoon Bom suffers from nightmares every night, piquing the viewers' curiosity.

Sun Jae-kyu is a person who takes the lead in matters concerning his nephew Sun Han-gyeol (played by Jo Jun-young). One day, upon hearing the news that Han-gyeol's commendation for filial piety had fallen through, he visited the school. His mere appearance stirred excitement in the teacher's office, and Yoon Bom couldn't hide his surprise at Sun Jae-kyu's rugged demeanor. Sun Jae-kyu revealed his unexpected charm with the remark, "Do you get your female teacher to run errands for coffee?"

Sun Jae-kyu made the coffee Yoon Bom was drinking himself, leading to their first encounter. At that moment, he boldly called Yoon Bom a "beauty" and made an unreserved direct comment. This scene left a strong impression on the viewers.

Later, Yoon Bom unexpectedly ran into Sun Jae-kyu in front of his house at midnight. Misunderstanding the spicy chicken skewer Sun Jae-kyu was holding as a weapon, Yoon Bom fled in panic, providing a comedic moment. Sun Jae-kyu showcased his tsundere charm by vaulting over the wall to open the door for Yoon Bom.

Towards the end of the episode, Sun Jae-kyu hinted at their past connection by telling an associate, "(Yoon Bom) really doesn't recognize me," amplifying curiosity about the hidden story between them.

In the final part of the broadcast, Sun Jae-kyu and Yoon Bom met again for individual parent consultations. Yoon Bom appeared fully prepared in bright attire, while Sun Jae-kyu arrived at the school holding a money tree pot as tall as himself, showcasing an extraordinary presence. Sun Jae-kyu added to the excitement by addressing Yoon Bom casually with "Bom-ah~," making her flustered.

'Spring Fever' marks a refreshing start with lively character play set against a seaside village backdrop. The next episode, episode 2, is scheduled to air on January 6 at 8:50 PM. Anticipation for the drama's future developments is growing.
