[The Fact | Reporter Choi Sujeong] PLAVE has claimed first place for 67 consecutive weeks on the Global Hot Star ranking of the weekly idol ranking site FANNSTAR.

In the fifth week of December Global Hot Star vote on FANNSTAR, held from December 29, 2025 to January 5, 2026, PLAVE secured first place with 2,040,371 votes. Stray Kids followed in second place with 790,882 votes, while NEXZ ranked third with 649,263 votes.

The Global Hot Star ranking is a vote that selects K-pop artists who have captured audiences worldwide, featuring fourth- and fifth-generation idols with established global fandoms. The ranking has drawn significant attention as it is linked to the “Global Hot Star Award” at The Fact Music Awards. The ongoing vote serves as a preliminary round for this year’s Global Hot Star selection, with 20% reflected in the final results. The artist who finishes No.1 will receive the Global Hot Star trophy at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards.

According to FANNSTAR, artists who rank No.1 for 10 consecutive weeks in the Global Hot Star ranking are rewarded with a congratulatory video displayed on the horizontal LED billboard in Wangsimni, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. After 30 consecutive weeks at No.1, promotions are displayed on the Airport Railroad AM Board at Hongdae Station in Mapo-gu. At 50 consecutive weeks, the achievement is announced via the Hongdae M Screen. Artists who maintain No.1 for 70 consecutive weeks are celebrated at Carlo’s in New York’s Times Square, while those reaching 100 consecutive weeks are honored through the media tower and panorama screen at Starfield Goyang.

Following the announcement of PLAVE’s No.1 ranking, fans who participated in the vote sent congratulatory messages through the official FANNSTAR message inbox. A fan with the nickname “Bbu” commented, “PLAVE is the best!”
