Super Junior’s Kyuhyun opened up about the phone he lost during his trip to Kenya, sharing how the incident affected him long after it happened.
On his YouTube channel, Kyuhyun said, “So many people asked if I found my phone. The answer is no.” He explained that the incident occurred seven months ago and was later shown on Netflix’s Three Meals in Kenya.
Joking about it, he added, “If someone in Kenya is using a Galaxy Z Fold6 Thom Browne Edition, that’s my phone’s new owner.”
The real shock came after he returned home. When he switched back to an old phone, it suddenly broke, resulting in the loss of over a year’s worth of data. “I thought I lost eight months, but it turned out to be a year and two months,” he said, noting that photos and personal diary entries were gone.
“I was really hurt by it,” Kyuhyun admitted. “I decided not to write a diary in 2025 and maybe start again in 2026.”
Despite everything, he spoke warmly about Kenya, recommending it as a place everyone should visit at least once—especially the safari experience.
