On the 3rd (local time), a fan who visited Jinbosan Cemetery in Taiwan, where Seo Hee-won rests, witnessed Gu Jun-yeop carefully cleaning the tombstone. According to the eyewitness account, Gu Jun-yeop was carrying a large bag and stayed by his wife's side. When the fan who recognized him greeted him, he quietly responded and then began cleaning the tombstone with tools he had prepared. The fan said, "Seeing him tenderly touching his wife's traces with a lonely expression, I couldn't bring myself to speak further and watched from a distance before leaving."

In September of last year, Gu Jun-yeop also visited Seo Hee-won's grave with Korean friends and stayed by her side for about an hour. When asked by reporters if he often dreams about his wife, he replied, "Of course," continuing to show his deep love for her.

Seo Hee-won's younger brother, Seo Hee-je, expressed gratitude to Gu Jun-yeop at an awards ceremony. Seo Hee-je said, "My brother-in-law has always supported my sister and me. Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won met at a party in the late 1990s and fell in love at first sight, but they broke up due to opposition from those around them. About 20 years later, the two reunited and announced their marriage in 2022, receiving many blessings. However, last February, Seo Hee-won showed symptoms of pneumonia caused by the flu during a trip to Japan and ultimately passed away.
