Artist Jung Eun-hye and her husband have shared a new direction in life eight months after their marriage. Through opening a café together, the couple has taken their first step toward independence, not only as spouses but as a shared living partnership.
On the 6th, a video uploaded to the YouTube channel Your Face_Eunhye showed the space personally leased by Jung Eun-hye and her husband, Cho Young-nam. Captions explained, “Cho Young-nam’s café startup challenge has begun” and “As of January 1, we signed a lease for the first floor of a building next to the art center.” The space will function both as Jung Eun-hye’s studio and Cho Young-nam’s café.
When asked about the café, Cho Young-nam replied, “I like it,” swaying his body with a smile to show his excitement. Soon after, the words “At last, Cho Young-nam’s café has opened” and “Now we’re becoming independent together here” followed naturally. It felt less like a business announcement and more like a declaration of the life they plan to build together.
The couple’s choice values sustainability over speed or immediate results. Creating a structure where each person has a role while sharing one space and supporting one another carries meaningful significance. The café serves as both a source of livelihood and a base where Jung Eun-hye’s creative work connects with daily life.
Meanwhile, at the end of last year, Jung Eun-hye announced her name change at the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards, saying, “I’m no longer Jung Eun-hye; I’m now artist Seo Eun-hye.” Choosing a new name was also part of her journey in defining her own life path.
Their time after marriage has been quiet yet steady. The café startup by Jung Eun-hye and her husband goes beyond success or failure; it marks the first tangible moment of turning their promise to live together into reality. Their independence begins here, in this shared space.
