Entertainer Jung Hyung-don decided not to stay silent any longer. As baseless rumors about his wife, Han Yu-ra, continued to spread, he chose to speak out not as a personal defense, but as a direct challenge to the problem of fake news itself.
On the 6th, in a video released on the YouTube channel Mungchin TV, Jung Hyung-don directly addressed a recently circulating short-form video. The content stitched together claims about debt at the time of marriage, financial control, a so-called “goose father” lifestyle, and mental health struggles, presenting them as if they were facts.
Expressing strong frustration, Jung said, “What is this even supposed to mean?” He firmly denied claims linking delayed marriage registration to debt, calling them fabricated stories made without regard for the truth. He also voiced anger over how his family’s choices were being distorted and consumed.
The core issue he raised was not just the rumor itself, but the structure that turns such stories into monetized content. Referring to the thousands of comments on the video, he said, “The fact that I even have to explain this is absurd,” pointing to an environment where sensationalism outweighs facts.
Jung questioned whether it was acceptable to freely dissect and tear apart a family that is living well, drawing attention to the real harm fake news inflicts on families and everyday life. His message drew a clear line against profiting from false information.
This statement goes beyond an emotional outburst. By sharing his experience, Jung highlighted how fabricated narratives created for clicks and entertainment can deeply disrupt real lives.
