Group BTS has once again topped the Billboard charts ahead of their full-group comeback. According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music media Billboard on the 6th (dated January 10), BTS's anthology album 'Proof' track "Run BTS" claimed the number one spot on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart. This song ranked number one on iTunes' 'Top Songs' in a total of 61 countries/regions, including Brazil, Finland, Mexico, and Greece, until 6 a.m. on the 2nd. This result was brought about by the voluntary streaming of ARMYs (the fandom name) worldwide.
Fans are expressing their anticipation for the new release by revisiting BTS's past songs. The track "Anpanman" from BTS's previous album, the 2018 full-length third album 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear',' also ranked number one on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart. Additionally, RM's casual live broadcast triggered the re-entry of his solo second album 'Right Place, Wrong Person' track "Nuts" at number two on the same chart.
Solo songs by BTS members are also consistently performing well on Billboard's detailed charts. Jungkook's solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" ranked 148th on the 'Global 200' and 90th on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)' charts. Jin's solo second album 'Echo' title track "Don't Say You Love Me" ranked 126th, and Jimin's solo second album 'MUSE' title track "Who" ranked 152nd. BTS's album 'Proof' is positioned at number nine on the 'World Albums' chart, and Jimin's 'MUSE' holds the 18th spot.
Following the news of BTS's new release, a rising trend was also confirmed on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify. On the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart (tracking period: December 26, 2025 – January 1, 2026), "Who" ranked 32nd, "Don't Say You Love Me" 38th, "Seven (feat. Latto)" 62nd, and V and PARK HYO SHIN's duet "Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)" 102nd. These songs rose by 48, 36, 54, and 80 spots respectively compared to the previous week.
Rankings also rose on the 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart during the same period. 'Proof' climbed 20 spots to 35th, Jungkook's first solo album 'GOLDEN' rose 34 spots to 77th, 'MUSE' jumped 51 spots to 117th, and 'Echo' moved up 24 spots to 52nd.
BTS will release their fifth full-length album on March 20. This full-group comeback marks about 3 years and 9 months since their last. BTS has installed a new release logo sculpture on the central stairs of Seoul's Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, attracting public attention. They plan to communicate with fans through various promotions and activities ahead of the new release.
