Monsta X Juheon strikes YouTube with 'STING' performance


Member Juheon of the group Monsta X captivated fans both domestically and internationally with the performance video of his new song "STING." On January 6, Starship Entertainment released the performance video for the title track "STING (Feat. Muhammad Ali)" on the official Monsta X YouTube channel. In the released video, Juheon showcased hip styling in a space highlighted by rugged concrete structures, exuding the raw energy characteristic of the "STING" performance.

Juheon moved fluidly to the rhythm and dominated the stage with powerful impact during the highlight parts. The performance of "STING" incorporated actual boxing techniques such as "weaving" and "swaying" into the choreography, adding visual excitement. Juheon completed the powerful choreography through harmony with the dancers and delivered deep immersion with vivid facial expressions. This contributed to proving the phrase "a performance you can trust to watch and listen to."

The title track "STING" is a song that intricately embodies the image of a "bee," symbolizing Juheon, over a pop and hip-hop-based beat. By quoting Muhammad Ali's famous words, it converges the artist's identity and artistic instinct into one, encompassing the narrative of the entire album. Juheon presented a solid musical worldview and stylish performance, achieving meaningful results on major domestic and international charts immediately upon release.

On January 5, right after the album release, all tracks including Juheon's title track "STING" entered the Melon HOT100 chart, one of Korea's major music sites. In particular, "STING" proved its hot popularity by ranking third on the Bugs real-time chart.

Juheon's global influence was also remarkable. The mini-album 2 "光 (INSANITY)" peaked at number two on the iTunes K-pop Top Albums chart in Canada and the Netherlands, and appeared on charts in 11 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, France, Australia, Thailand, Austria, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. Additionally, it entered the top album charts in 15 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Japan, Thailand, Qatar, Finland, France, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Turkey, Australia, and Malaysia.

The title track "STING" appeared on the iTunes K-pop Top Songs charts in eight countries and regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand, and Malaysia, and also appeared on the Top Songs charts in Peru, the Philippines, Colombia, Qatar, Argentina, Mexico, and Indonesia. Especially on the U.S. iTunes chart, all tracks entered the K-pop Top Songs chart, proving a global presence in a total of 24 countries and regions.

Juheon released the mini-album 2 "光 (INSANITY)" on the 5th and continues active promotions through various content and broadcasts. Juheon of Monsta X is leaving a strong impression on fans at home and abroad based on his musical capabilities and performance skills, and his future activities are highly anticipated.
