The 29th Season Couple of "I Am Solo" Registers Marriage... Age Gap Special Surpasses 4% Viewership Rating

A couple who completed their marriage registration appeared on the 29th season of "I Am Solo." In the episode aired on the 7th on SBS Plus and ENA, the love lines of the 29th season's "Older Woman, Younger Man Special" were revealed under the theme of "Super Date." According to Nielsen Korea's ratings, the broadcast recorded an average viewership rating of 2.6%, with a peak minute rating reaching 4.02%. The target rating for "I Am SOLO" was 1.53%, ranking first in its time slot.

The "Best Moment" was when Young-chul requested a "Super Date" with Young-sook and Jung-sook, proposing a "fermented skate date." On the fourth night of the broadcast, Jung-sook received praise from Young-chul while cooking in the shared kitchen, saying, "There are too many ingredients for gambas." Young-chul acted as an assistant chef beside Jung-sook. At the same time, Sang-chul appealed to Ok-soon that he still wanted a "1:1 date." Ok-soon understood Sang-chul's intention but said, "Just do whatever you want."

Afterward, the battle for the "Super Date Pass" began. The first mission was to call their parents and get permission for a "9-year age gap" relationship. Young-soo took the first challenge but failed, while Kwang-soo called and received a positive response from his mother, who said, "I trust my son and will leave everything to him." Young-ho's mother said, "As long as they live together healthy and happy, that's all that matters," and Young-chul's father also approved, saying, "What does it matter if the age difference is nine or even twenty years?"

On the other hand, most of the single women faced opposition from their parents. Young-ja, who had feelings for the nine-years-younger Sang-chul, faced strong opposition from her mother, who said, "Are you crazy? I hate this." Jung-sook received the answer, "As long as you're happy," and automatically earned the "Super Date Pass." Among the single men, Young-ho obtained the "Super Date Pass" through votes from the single women.

Next, a writing contest themed "What Does My Age Matter" was held, and Young-ja won first place among the single women, earning the "Super Date Pass." Among the single men, Young-soo and Sang-chul tied for first place and earned the "Super Date Pass." After the battle for the "Super Date Pass" ended, Young-sook called Young-ho to discuss how to use their respective "Super Date Passes." Young-ho said, "Young-sook, you use yours on Young-chul, and I'll use mine on you." Young-sook was touched and positively accepted Young-ho's choice.

Young-sook requested a "Super Date" with Young-chul, and Jung-sook also used her "Super Date Pass" on Young-chul. Young-chul was happy with the choices of the two single women and revealed, "Actually, I wanted to see how you two would refuse." However, both Young-sook and Jung-sook readily agreed.

Meanwhile, Young-ja asked Sang-chul in the shared living room, "How are you going to use the 'Super Date Pass'?" Sang-chul said he would use it on Ok-soon. Young-ja revealed her feelings, saying, "Tomorrow will be like a farewell trip..." Young-soo also requested a "Super Date" with Ok-soon, and Ok-soon responded positively.

As the night deepened, Young-sik requested a "1:1 conversation" with Soon-ja. He surprised everyone by saying, "I won't give the spot to anyone. Soon-ja is not among the people I am considering." Soon-ja was taken aback and reacted to Young-sik's remark. Later, Young-sik also requested a "1:1 conversation" with Hyun-sook, but Hyun-sook firmly refused, saying, "I have nothing to say."

Young-chul and Young-sook wandered around looking for each other at 5 a.m. and accidentally met. Young-chul said, "I want to show you something," pointing to the rain illuminated by the lights, which looked like white snow. Young-sook said, "I think I will remember this moment very well."

The next morning, Young-sook wore a bright dress and went on a "Super Date" with Young-chul. At a popular brunch spot, Young-sook laughed at Young-chul's jokes, increasing her affection. During their date, Jung-sook confided about Young-chul, saying, "It's very comfortable being with him, but I worry because of the long-distance issue and his conservative personality that reminds me of my father."

Sang-chul finally went on a "1:1 date" with Ok-soon, and the two had a pleasant time at a café. Ok-soon confessed, "I didn't expect much, but I liked it so much that I secretly felt anxious." At the end of the date, the café owner gave Ok-soon a sunflower as a gift, and Ok-soon acted as if it was from Sang-chul.

In the preview, Young-soo mentioned the word "marriage" during his date with Ok-soon, and Young-ja told Sang-chul, "I'm done, so if you want to find out more, you can," creating tension. Nevertheless, Sang-chul showed interest in Ok-soon rather than Young-ja.

It was recently reported that a couple from the 29th season completed their marriage registration. The production team released a photo taken after the older woman completed the registration alone, holding a container with the Taegeukgi (Korean flag) drawn on it, leading to speculation that Sang-chul, who runs a taekwondo studio, is the groom.
