Dawn Finds Balance in Living Alone — Choosing the Most Comfortable Way After Romance

Singer and producer Dawn spoke candidly about his satisfaction with living alone, focusing less on past relationships and more on the lifestyle that suits him best now.

On the July 7 episode of MBC’s Radio Star, Dawn appeared as a guest and shared, “I really love being by myself. About two-thirds of the year, I spend time alone.”

When asked if living alone for years made it comfortable, Dawn replied simply, “Yes.” It wasn’t about leaving someone behind, but about becoming accustomed to the stability that solitude brings.

Dawn emphasized that living alone doesn’t mean isolation. He still invites friends and business contacts over due to work and social commitments, noting that “sharing good food and conversation is always enjoyable.” However, he also made it clear that he has personal standards for his own space.

One such “house rule” drew laughs. Dawn revealed that he prefers to sit when using the bathroom and finds it stressful when male guests stand. While he can ask close friends to follow his rule, he admitted it’s difficult to say the same to business visitors.

As a solution, he labeled the first-floor bathroom “out of order” for his own use, directing guests to the second-floor restroom. “Sorry if I’m sensitive,” he joked, “but this is how I live comfortably.”

Rather than framing his life as “single after a breakup,” Dawn’s remarks reflected someone who has found a rhythm that works for him. For him, comfort and balance matter more than the presence or absence of a relationship.
