Former manager of Park Narae "Not enrolled in four major insurances"... Agency states "Chose business income"

The controversy surrounding comedian Park Na-rae's alleged abuse of power has entered a new phase. As a rebuttal emerged claiming that former manager Mr. A's allegation of 'non-enrollment in the four major social insurances' was inaccurate, the debate over the credibility of the controversy has reignited.

On the 8th, a video titled "Shocking Exclusive! Park Na-rae's KakaoTalk Messages Released: Why Is the Manager Angry?" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho.' Lee Jin-ho stated, "There are some misunderstandings regarding matters related to Park Na-rae," and added, "The core issue in this controversy is whether abuse of power occurred."

The former manager Mr. A, who is at the center of the controversy, worked with Park Na-rae while she was with JDB Entertainment and later moved with her to her one-person agency, Anpark. Mr. A initially denied reporting Park Na-rae's alleged abuse of power and the so-called 'injection auntie' suspicions to the media, but after surrounding testimonies and evidence were revealed, he reportedly admitted to making the report belatedly. Throughout this process, doubts were raised about the overall credibility of Mr. A's claims.

The issues of salary and career history particularly came to the forefront. Mr. A claimed he was promised a monthly salary of 5 million won but actually received only 3 million won. However, Lee Jin-ho argued, "During the verification process, questions arose about Mr. A's career," and stated, "Contrary to his claim of having 'over 10 years of experience as a manager,' no official managerial career could be confirmed." It was explained that although Mr. A had a history of founding and running an entertainment company in the past, this was a CEO role and not a managerial career.

A different interpretation was also presented regarding the most contentious claim of non-enrollment in the four major social insurances. Lee Jin-ho reported, "Upon verification, Mr. A's salary has been paid by Park Na-rae's one-person agency Anpark since October 2024, and Park Na-rae delegated full authority over tax matters to Mr. A." He continued, "In September 2024, the tax officer asked Mr. A whether he wanted to receive his salary as earned income or business income. Although earned income was recommended, Mr. A chose business income," adding, "Choosing business income means there is no obligation to enroll in the four major social insurances. This is according to the tax officer's explanation."

Furthermore, "During the verification process after the incident, it was found that a personal corporation under Mr. A's name existed, and it was confirmed that advertising fees from Park Na-rae were deposited into that corporation," Lee Jin-ho said. He added, "While the former manager's side continuously claimed that they demanded enrollment in the four major social insurances, they never clearly stated their position on switching to earned income, according to insiders."

On the other hand, former manager Mr. A claimed in a media interview, "I requested enrollment in the four major social insurances starting last September, but it was not accepted," and stated, "Park Na-rae herself, her mother, and her ex-boyfriend were enrolled in the four major social insurances." The controversy was further fueled by suspicions that after Park Na-rae established her one-person agency, she did not register it as a cultural and artistic planning business, which is a legal violation.

Meanwhile, the former manager's side recently filed a provisional seizure application on real estate and announced plans to file a lawsuit seeking approximately 100 million won in damages, citing workplace harassment, special injury, proxy prescription, and unpaid progress fees as reasons. Adding to this, allegations of embezzlement of company funds and illegal medical practices performed by non-medical personnel have surfaced, indicating that the controversy surrounding Park Na-rae is showing signs of prolongation.

Amid conflicting claims, the facts are still awaiting legal judgment. Public attention is focused on whether Park Na-rae will be confirmed as the subject of the 'abuse of power' controversy or if some of the allegations will be revealed as exaggerated or distorted.
