Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Renews Contract with SM, Continuing a 19-Year Partnership

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment, extending a partnership that has lasted for 19 years since her debut. The move draws attention as she remains one of K-pop’s most trusted vocalists.

On the 9th, SM stated, “We are delighted to continue working together based on the trust and bond built over many years. We will continue to support Taeyeon in every way so she can shine as a global artist.”

Taeyeon debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation and launched her solo career in 2015. She has released numerous hit songs including “I,” “Why,” “Four Seasons,” “Spark,” “INVU,” and “To.X,” solidifying her standing as a solo artist.

Last December, she released her first compilation album, Panorama: The Best of TAEYEON, celebrating the 10th anniversary of her solo debut. The contract renewal signals a forward-looking commitment to her future activities.
