Park Seo-jin, Best Award Winner, Nationwide Tour Concert... Highest Ratings in Dance Battle with Younger Sibling

KBS 2TV's "Salimnam" delivered a deep resonance to viewers by featuring Park Seo-jin's nationwide tour concert after winning the Grand Prize and Takuya's first-ever confession about his family history. The broadcast on the 10th recorded a nationwide Nielsen Korea viewership rating of 3.9%, with the dance battle scene between Park Seo-jin and his younger sister Park Hyo-jung achieving a peak rating of 6.5%.

Special guest Kickflip Gyehun, who appeared that day, shared, "My mother is a big fan and always looks for Senior Seo-jin," expressing his parents' admiration for Park Seo-jin. Lee Yo-won revealed that she and Gyehun are two cycles apart in age, saying, "She's just a year older than my eldest child," which brought laughter. Gyehun complimented Lee Yo-won's youthful beauty, saying, "I almost spoke informally and called you 'ya.'"

The VCR revealed Park Seo-jin's daily life after winning the Grand Prize at last year's "2025 KBS Entertainment Awards." Park Seo-jin happily enjoyed a company dinner, celebrating both his Grand Prize and "Salimnam" winning the Best Program Award chosen by viewers. He said, "I used to be very shy and couldn't attend company dinners, but I'm learning about life through 'Salimnam'." The next day, suffering from a hangover, Park Seo-jin embraced his trophy and rewatched the award scene, savoring the joy, and expressed gratitude to his parents and sister Park Hyo-jung. He emphasized the importance of family, saying, "'Salimnam' is family. It's reassuring to have family members who comfort you when you're struggling and laugh with you when you're happy."

To celebrate Park Seo-jin's Grand Prize win, Park Hyo-jung prepared a luxurious healing course event, including an elegant bathtub setup and hangover stew. Park Seo-jin showcased a bubble bath scene for the first time on the show, while Hyo-jung rubbed lemons under his armpits as a hangover cure passed down from Puerto Rico. Park Seo-jin honestly shared, "It's better than I expected."

Even after recovering, Park Seo-jin devoted himself to rehearsing for his first nationwide tour concert since debut. At the Seoul concert venue, official "Salimnam" supporters such as Lee Min-woo's mother and Ji Sang-ryeol's sister-in-law attended to cheer him on. Notably, Lee Min-woo's 7-year-old eldest daughter visited the concert hall and invited Park Seo-jin, saying, "Uncle, please come visit our house," hinting at upcoming parenting challenges. The concert heated up with janggu performances and dance battles. Lee Yo-won commented, "He always seemed like the cute youngest sibling, but seeing him perform his main job, he's truly impressive." Park Seo-jin expressed his determination, saying, "After receiving the Grand Prize, I feel the weight of the crown. I will work even harder to live up to it."

The episode also revealed "New Salimnam" Takuya's visit to his hometown Ibaraki, Japan. Takuya showed his Japanese family home on TV for the first time and was seen hugging his younger sisters. Park Seo-jin told Takuya, "I'm disappointed for the first time," revealing the realistic sibling relationship.

Takuya confessed feeling burdened by his family's treatment of him as a superstar. He said, "There is a gap between how my family sees me and who I really am," adding, "I feel like I'm in between." He confided in his younger sister, "I didn't want to cause worry, so I wanted to remain just the cool older brother," and his sister encouraged him, saying, "It's okay as long as you keep going until the end."

Takuya revealed that his parents divorced during his childhood and that the father he currently lives with is his stepfather. His youngest sibling was also born to his stepfather and mother. Regarding his biological father, he shared a heartbreaking story: "My last memory is hiding in the car trunk, crying, 'Please take me too.'" Takuya expressed willingness to meet his biological father, saying, "I'm curious about who he is. I want to show him how much I've grown."

Takuya had a deep conversation with his younger sister, expressing gratitude and apologies toward his family. He said, "I thought I should work hard through 'Salimnam' to become the Takuya my family imagines," and added, "I hope this becomes an opportunity to get closer to my family and be honest with them."

This broadcast left viewers with a profound impression by showing Park Seo-jin's more mature self after winning the Grand Prize and Takuya's healing process as he shares pain with his family. "Salimnam" airs every Saturday at 10:35 PM.
