Group Stray Kids and singers G-Dragon and Jennie won the grand prizes in each category at the 40th Golden Disc Awards held on the 10th at Taipei Dome. Stray Kids received the grand prize in the album category, and G-Dragon received the grand prize in the digital music category. The newly established Artist Award this year went to Jennie.

Stray Kids recorded their first grand prize in seven years since winning the Rookie Award at the 33rd ceremony in 2019. They achieved over 3 million sales in the first week with their fourth full album "KARMA," winning two awards including the album main prize and the grand prize.

G-Dragon won the grand prize in the digital music category with the title track "HOME SWEET HOME" from the third full album "WIEVERMENSCH." This is their first grand prize as a solo singer since winning the digital music main prize at the 27th ceremony in 2013. G-Dragon won three awards including the digital music grand prize, digital music main prize, and album main prize.

Jennie, the first recipient of the newly established Artist Award, was recognized for her solo album "Ruby" and the title track "like JENNIE." Adding to the success of the group Black Pink's "JUMP," Jennie won the digital music main prize both as a solo artist and as part of the group, earning a total of four trophies.

The album main prize was awarded to 10 teams including RIIZE, Seventeen, Stray Kids, IVE, ATEEZ, NCT WISH, Enhypen, ZEROBASEONE, G-Dragon, and Tomorrow X Together (TXT). The digital music main prize was awarded to 10 teams including Rosé, LE SSERAFIM, Boy Next Door, Black Pink, IVE, aespa, All Day Project, Jennie, Jo Jazz, and G-Dragon. Notably, IVE won both the digital music and album main prizes for three consecutive years.

The Rookie Award was given to All Day Project and Cortis, the Next Generation Award to Kiki, and the Best Performance Award to TWS and Izuna.
