
Annie, a member of the group All Day Project (All Def), is returning to Columbia University in the United States. Annie plans to focus on her studies starting from the spring semester of 2026. Her agency, The Black Label, announced Annie's return to school and stated that the group's activities will not be completely halted. Annie will dedicate about three months to her studies and plans to handle overseas schedules when possible.
Annie is currently majoring in Visual Arts within the Art History department at Columbia University, with only one semester left until graduation. The agency explained that while Annie is returning to school, the other members will focus on songwriting and album preparation in their respective roles. Annie personally shared the news of her return through a fan communication platform, stating that she will balance both her studies and music work.
Annie values communication with her fans and said, "I was told early last year that I could no longer extend my leave of absence." She added, "I decided to return after discussing it in advance with the members and the company." Annie explained, "I have already earned many credits, so I only need to attend one semester to graduate," and mentioned, "It will be about three and a half months until early May."
In addition to her studies, Annie plans to continue her music work in the U.S. She emphasized, "I will attend school diligently and also do a lot of music work in the U.S." She reassured fans by saying, "I will come to Korea once or twice a month for schedules." Annie apologized to her fans, saying, "I'm sorry I couldn't tell you earlier," and asked them to "celebrate with me when I graduate."
Annie, whose real name is Moon Seo-yoon, is a member of the mixed-gender group All Day Project. She is the eldest daughter of Jung Yu-kyung, chairwoman of Shinsegae Group, and is signed under The Black Label, led by music producer Teddy, formerly of the group 1TYM. Annie debuted with All Day Project in June last year and has been active while on a leave of absence from university.
She appeared on JTBC's variety show "Knowing Bros," where she revealed the story behind her college admission, mentioning, "My parents said that if I wanted to be a singer, I had to get into an Ivy League school." Additionally, on MBC's variety show "The Manager," she attracted attention by revealing that she scored 1530 out of 1600 on the SAT.
After announcing her return to school, Annie plans to continue communicating with her fans. She urged fans not to worry, saying, "I will attend school diligently and do a lot of music work in the U.S." Annie showed how much she values her relationship with fans by saying, "You'll be proud of me when I graduate, right?"
