Netflix has confirmed the production of a new series titled "Dealer." On January 14, Netflix revealed the casting information for the series, announcing that Jung So-min, Ryu Seung-beom, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Ryu Kyung-soo will star. "Dealer" raises expectations with director Hwang Dong-hyuk of "Squid Game" participating as planner and producer.

"Dealer" is a crime drama about casino dealer Jang Geon-hwa (played by Jung So-min), who uses her sealed-off abilities to protect her endangered marriage plans by diving into the gambling scene. Jang Geon-hwa is portrayed as an ace dealer skillfully handling casino guests, and the story depicts her entering the gambling world after her marriage plans are disrupted by a scam while preparing for a new home.

Jung So-min takes on the role of Jang Geon-hwa, presenting a new face in the series. She plays a character who adeptly manages casino guests based on her experience there. Ryu Seung-beom appears as Hwang Chi-soo, a character who joins Jang Geon-hwa's plan while hustling in the casino. Lee Soo-hyuk is cast as player Jo Joon, who shakes up the casino scene, adding tension with his exceptional skills and poker face. Ryu Kyung-soo plays Choi Woo-seung, Geon-hwa's boyfriend and a detective in the violent crimes division, who pursues the case to the end.

The series is directed by Choi Young-hwan, who has experience as a cinematographer on several works including "Smugglers," "Veteran," "Tazza," and "The Thieves." Director Choi is drawing attention for how he will unfold the casino-based story through visuals that maximize the genre's entertainment.

The production of "Dealer" involves First Man Studio, the production company behind the "Squid Game" series. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who led the global wave of K-content following the success of "Squid Game," is highly anticipated for his planning in this project as well.

The release date for "Dealer" has not yet been announced. Netflix plans to present a new crime drama to audiences worldwide through this series.
