BTS returns to the stage in Singapore... Tourism Board expects economic revitalization

On the 14th, the Singapore Tourism Board announced the extension of its strategic partnership with global platform Klook and BTS's agency HYBE to successfully host BTS's concert in Singapore in December. This concert is expected to play a significant role in revitalizing Singapore's economy. The Tourism Board stated, "This concert will once again solidify Singapore as the premier entertainment destination."

Singapore is optimally equipped to host large-scale multi-day performances. The Tourism Board has experience successfully hosting major international events and boasts world-class venues, excellent regional connectivity, and superior infrastructure. Additionally, it offers a wide range of accommodation options that satisfy diverse traveler preferences, demonstrating strong capabilities across the entire entertainment ecosystem.

Guo Teyi, Director of Leisure Events at the Singapore Tourism Board, said, "We are very pleased to host BTS's world tour in Singapore for four days, the longest period in Asia excluding Korea and Japan, through our partnership with Klook." He added, "This shows the growing trust that overseas artists and producers have in Singapore's ability to deliver world-class live entertainment."

Since 2024, the Singapore Tourism Board has been collaborating on various projects through partnerships with HYBE and labels under the music group. These include events and social media content featuring famous K-pop artists such as BTS's j-hope, SEVENTEEN, and ENHYPEN. Recently, Singapore gained attention as the backdrop for the music video of "Don't Say You Love Me," the title track of Jin's second solo album, Echo.

A HYBE Big Hit Music representative said, "We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board. We are honored to present the Singapore concert as part of BTS's world tour to fans who have waited a long time." The Singapore Tourism Board and Klook have maintained a strong partnership for a long time to promote inbound tourism to Singapore. Last year, they expanded their partnership to discover new growth engines in line with the Singapore Tourism Board's 'Tourism 2040' vision.

Sarah Wan, Head of Klook Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, said, "We are very proud to collaborate with the Singapore Tourism Board, HYBE, and Big Hit Music to bring the global icon BTS to Singapore." She added, "Through this collaboration, we are redefining how visitors experience travel and entertainment in Singapore. Based on our experience successfully supporting major concerts and events across Asia, we are delighted to provide visitors with world-class experiences while promoting Singapore's appeal."

This is not BTS's first visit to Singapore. Starting with the 'BTS 2014 LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE 2! THE RED BULLET' tour at The Star Theatre in 2014, the 'LOVE YOURSELF' tour at Singapore National Stadium in 2019 was the first by a K-pop artist at the venue and sold out all seats. Subsequently, SUGA held a solo concert at Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2023, followed by j-hope in 2025.

K-pop concerts held in Singapore continuously attract audiences from nearby Asian regions and around the world, proving their strong box office power. The Singapore Tourism Board plans to continue working closely with event organizers to develop and attract high-quality lifestyle and events that appeal to both locals and visitors. This will serve as a vital factor in invigorating Singapore's tourism ecosystem.
