Chef An Seong-jae made a second attempt to clarify the controversy surrounding the "Dubai Chewy Cookie" (hereafter referred to as DuJjonKu). On the 14th, a video titled "Responding to the overwhelming criticism: An Seong-jae's DuDdakGang DuRanMal A/S" was released on the YouTube channel "Chef An Seong-jae." In the video, An Seong-jae announced, "Today, for the first time on 'An Seong-jae GeoDeongYo,' I will conduct a recipe A/S," and his daughter Si-young appeared as a guest.
Last month, An Seong-jae attempted to make DuJjonKu with his daughter Si-young and son Eun-gi, but ignoring Si-young's opinion resulted in cookies with a hard texture different from the typical DuJjonKu, sparking controversy. Subscribers expressed dissatisfaction with An Seong-jae's recipe, even using mocking phrases like "No Dubai, No Chewy, No Cookie."
An Seong-jae explained the seriousness of the controversy by saying, "Honestly, I didn't really know what DuJjonKu was. I had never tried it." He mentioned the growing interest, saying, "A customer came to the store and asked, 'When will you make DuJjonKu?'" He also added an explanation, "From a dad's perspective, since it contains a lot of marshmallows, it's not a healthy food. I wanted to make something a little healthier."

In the video, Si-young evaluated, "This tastes much better than the ones sold in stores," and together with her father, they created the real Dubai Chewy Cookie. An Seong-jae smiled brightly, saying, "It's rewarding."
During their conversation, An Seong-jae emphasized again, "I didn't expect DuJjonKu to become such a hot topic," and Si-young responded, "I was grateful that 13,000 people talked about me." He explained, "Customers at Mosu asked, 'When will you make DuJjonKu?' and some even brought DuJjonKu themselves and asked me to give it to Si-young."
Si-young showed a mature reaction to her father's words, saying, "I thought it was okay, but people were too much." She also recalled a comment that made her laugh, "I asked for chicken, but they gave me boiled chicken."
In this video, under Si-young's guidance, An Seong-jae completed the classic DuJjonKu. Si-young expressed satisfaction, saying, "The inside is very savory," while An Seong-jae evaluated, "It's a bit sweet for my taste. Maybe because there's a lot of white chocolate?" However, when Si-young said, "It's just right for me," An Seong-jae immediately agreed, saying, "It's just right for me too."
Si-young praised, "I think homemade ones taste better than store-bought. Homemade ones aren't too sweet and are savory," and An Seong-jae happily agreed, "As I kept eating, I found it delicious too."
This video was the first recipe A/S video released after Chef An Seong-jae faced controversy, providing viewers with a chance to experience the new taste of DuJjonKu. Through the cooking process with his daughter, An Seong-jae reaffirmed the importance of family and his passion for cooking.
