Starring Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon, 'From Today, It's Human' premieres on the 16th

SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "From Today, I Am a Human" will premiere on January 16. This drama deals with the fantasy romance of an MZ-era nine-tailed fox who does not want to become human and a self-absorbed human, depicting their chaotic journey toward salvation. It offers a fresh interpretation of the traditional nine-tailed fox mythology, presenting a delightful story that oscillates between reality and imagination.

"From Today, I Am a Human" is highly anticipated as SBS's K-fantasy romance. This drama follows the global hits "Guigung" and "My Demon." "Guigung" tells the story of a sword inspector possessed by the evil god Imugi and a shaman who refuses her fate, while "My Demon" focuses on the contract marriage between a devilish chaebol heiress and a demon who has lost his powers. These dramas provided unique entertainment through the encounters between ordinary humans and supernatural beings.

The protagonists of "From Today, I Am a Human" are the MZ-era nine-tailed fox Eunho (played by Kim Hye-yoon) and world-class soccer star Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon). Their strange and heart-fluttering romance forms the core of the drama. Writers Park Chan-young and Jo Ah-young asked viewers to pay attention to how Kang Si-yeol becomes entangled with the nine-tailed fox Eunho as a "hate relationship" in the first episode. They start as a hate relationship, become fatefully connected, and ultimately become each other's salvation.

Director Kim Jung-kwon highlighted the theme of "a nine-tailed fox who does not want to become human" as a key point of interest. He explained, "Most stories start with the desire to 'become' something, but 'From Today, I Am a Human' is the exact opposite." In the drama, Eunho is a character who harbors a desire not to become human and lives by committing minor misdeeds. The spiritual power she has accumulated over hundreds of years becomes a means to grant wishes in exchange for a price from humans. This setting reimagines the nine-tailed fox not as a figure of fear but as a familiar presence.

Kim Hye-yoon plays Eunho, the MZ-era nine-tailed fox who does not want to become human. Returning to viewers after a year and eight months, she is expected to showcase her unique cute and lovable charm. Kim Hye-yoon said, "I am presenting a new kind of 'MZ nine-tailed fox' that you have never seen before. I hope you focus on the changes in the relationship between Eunho and Kang Si-yeol."

Lomon appears as Kang Si-yeol, a world-class soccer player. Through this work, he takes on a full-fledged romantic comedy challenge. Lomon said, "There is definitely laughter and excitement, but it is a work that leaves a lasting emotional impression," expressing his hope that after the final episode, viewers will have an opportunity to reflect once again on love and relationships.

"From Today, I Am a Human" will premiere on January 16 at 9:50 PM. The drama is attracting viewers' attention with its new nine-tailed fox mythology and unique character settings. How the story unfolds and the relationships between characters develop will be closely watched.
