MBC's flagship long-running program, 'Mystery TV SurfRIIZE,' returns as 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' after a three-month revamp. The program will premiere on Sunday, January 25th, at 10:40 AM. 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' has been newly revamped as a storytelling talk show in the form of a special salon gathering to solve mysteries.

The production team stated that they have further strengthened the mystery element, which was the strength of the original 'SurfRIIZE,' and increased the appeal by adding vivid storytelling based on true stories and the performances of scene-stealing actors. Through this, they aim to elicit viewers' responses and invite the whole family to the "SurfRIIZE world" on Sunday mornings.

The newly organized 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' is led by three MCs. The main host is singer Lee Chan-won. Lee Chan-won takes on acting for the first time since debut in this program and is expected to attract viewers' attention with excellent delivery skills and a friendly presence. During the first recording, Lee Chan-won raised the atmosphere by making a ratings pledge.

Alongside Lee Chan-won, MC Kwak Beom appears, playing the role of the "Mystery Crusher," who nitpicks every mystery. Kwak Beom forms a confrontational dynamic with Lee Chan-won by probing for flaws with a cold, sharp gaze.

Additionally, announcer Park So-young joins as a salon member. Park So-young will represent the viewers' perspective and uncover the truth of mysteries with curious questions.

Actors Kim Min-jin, Kim Ha-young, and Son Yoon-sang, the faces of 'SurfRIIZE,' also appear as scene stealers, reconstructing incidents to enhance the immersion of the story. The production team explained that the reason 'Mystery TV SurfRIIZE' has been loved for over 20 years is the "power of storytelling," and they will maximize that power in the new 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon.'

The first broadcast will feature real stories about an unidentified creature that disappeared leaving only a witness, miraculous scenes defying scientific probability, mysterious incidents and accidents full of questions, and stories about villains driven by madness. MBC's 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' will premiere on Sunday, January 25th, at 10:40 AM.
