
Singer Jimin ranked first in the January individual brand reputation of boy groups ahead of the full-group comeback of BTS. According to the announcement by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Jimin took first place in the individual brand reputation survey of boy groups as of January 17. This survey was conducted based on big data from the 17th of last month to the present.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed brand big data of 755 individual boy group members, extracting a total of 58,889,185 data points. In this process, they calculated the brand reputation index including participation index, media index, communication index, and community index through consumer behavior analysis. The brand reputation index is an indicator reflecting the impact of consumers' online habits on brand consumption.
The brand reputation analysis focused on measuring positive and negative evaluations, media attention, consumer interest, and communication volume. It also included brand value evaluation analysis assessing brand influence and qualitative evaluation by the brand reputation monitor. As a result, with the recommendation index weighted in, Jimin ranked first.
Following Jimin, Jungkook from the same group took second place, and G-Dragon from Big Bang ranked third. Jin of BTS was fourth, Baekhyun of EXO was fifth, and V of BTS was sixth. Next, Kang Daniel of Wanna One ranked seventh, Hwang Minhyun was eighth, Dohoon of TWS was ninth, and J-Hope of BTS ranked tenth. Taeil of NCT was eleventh, Yunho of TVXQ was twelfth, Heechul of Super Junior was thirteenth. Kim Jaehwan of Wanna One was fourteenth, Cha Eunwoo of Astro was fifteenth. Following were Park Jihoon of Wanna One at sixteenth, Wonbin of RIIZE at seventeenth, Kyuhyun of Super Junior at eighteenth. Minho of SHINee was nineteenth, Suga of BTS was twentieth, Kai of EXO was twenty-first, and Lay was twenty-second. Ong Seongwu of Wanna One was twenty-third, Yoon Doojoon of Highlight was twenty-fourth, Gunho of Cortis was twenty-fifth. RM of BTS was twenty-sixth, Ha Sungwoon of Wanna One was twenty-seventh, Kang Seungyoon of WINNER was twenty-eighth, Onew of SHINee was twenty-ninth, and Yoon Jisung of Wanna One was thirtieth.
Koo Changhwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, "The Jimin brand recorded high scores in link analysis for 'recording, entering, unique,' and in keyword analysis, 'ARMY, Who, Like Crazy' stood out. In the positive-negative ratio analysis, the positive ratio was 91.87%."
This brand reputation survey result shows that Jimin's awareness and brand value remain high ahead of BTS's comeback. BTS has formed a global fandom, and their activities are receiving great attention both domestically and internationally.
