Enhypen, a new start with the 7th mini album... "A mystery show with heightened immersion"

The group Enhypen (ENHYPEN) declared a "new beginning" through their seventh mini-album, THE SIN : VANISH. This album is the first work in the new series "THE SIN" and will be released in January 2026. Enhypen is also presenting this album for the first time after winning multiple grand prizes at various award ceremonies in 2025.

Ahead of the album release, on the afternoon of the 14th at a café in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the members of Enhypen stated, "Since the album is coming out from the New Year, we think of it as a fresh start. We are happy to start 2026 with an album we prepared very hard." They emphasized that THE SIN : VANISH marks a new starting point for the group.

To announce their "new beginning," Enhypen chose "immersion." They meticulously structured not only the album but also the promotional content and offline activities to be organically connected. They produced trailer videos for tracks titled No Way Back, Big Girls Don't Cry, Stealer, and Knife, expressing the entire album's story like a movie.

Additionally, using the concept of an investigative report program called "Mystery Show," they allowed listeners to naturally follow Enhypen's escape from a third-person perspective. To this end, they launched a fictional media outlet called Vampire Now and included narration tracks in the album to accompany the released videos.

Heeseung said, "After winning grand prizes in 2025, we wanted to show a better side of ourselves," adding, "We think there is much more for us to show beyond just being thankful for the awards. So we prepared a more solid and fulfilling comeback." Jay added, "Since this is a concept album, I wanted to emphasize that the promotion is also part of the album," and continued, "I think the most important thing to enjoy this album is 'immersion.'"

In THE SIN : VANISH, Enhypen attempts new challenges not only in music but also in visuals. While Enhypen's "vampire" identity remains, they have transformed from the classic and traditional vampire visuals of the past to modern and sophisticated vampire visuals. Sunghoon explained, "Vampires have been loved and famous stories for a long time. Once you fall into it, it's hard to get out of its charm," and added, "Starting with this album, we plan to portray modern vampires."

The title track of THE SIN : VANISH, Knife, is a stylish and tense trap hip-hop number, marking Enhypen's first time choosing trap hip-hop as a title track. Niki expressed satisfaction with the title track, saying, "From the moment I first heard the Knife demo, I thought, 'This is it.'" Jake said, "The main story of this album is 'escape.' Trap was the most suitable genre to express the fear, anxiety, and urgency felt during the escape process."

Enhypen established themselves as the "best K-pop group" last year by winning multiple grand prizes. However, their goals reach even higher. Jay said, "While thinking about 'What kind of music can only Enhypen make?' we want to create deep and three-dimensional music," and added, "We don't want people to just listen to the album and say 'It's good' and stop there; we want to organically connect the messages and meanings contained within to all the content."

Jungwon said, "We have stuck to the vampire concept since debut, but the detailed story within it has gradually changed. It may change depending on what activities we do in the future. However, I will leave how the ending will be as an 'open future.'" Through THE SIN : VANISH, Enhypen announces a new beginning and plans to show a more developed side of their music and visuals.
