MBC's flagship long-running program 'Mysterious TV SurfRIIZE' returns anew as 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' after three months of reorganization. The program will premiere on Sunday, January 25th, at 10:40 AM. 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' has been reborn as a storytelling talk show in the form of a special salon gathering to solve mysteries.

The production team stated that they have strengthened the mysteries, which were the strengths of the original 'SurfRIIZE,' and enhanced the appeal by adding vivid storytelling based on true stories and outstanding performances by scene-stealing actors. Through this, they plan to offer viewers a new experience and invite the whole family to the "SurfRIIZE world" on Sunday mornings.

'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' is led by three MCs. The main host is singer Lee Chan-won, nicknamed 'Chantowiki.' Lee Chan-won takes on acting for the first time since debuting in this program and is expected to attract viewers' attention with method acting and excellent delivery skills. He raised the atmosphere by making a ratings pledge during the first recording.

Comedian Kwak Beom appears as the opposing role to Lee Chan-won. Kwak Beom investigates mysteries with a cool-headed perspective, creating a tense confrontation with Lee Chan-won. His performance is expected to heighten the program's tension.

Also joining the salon members is announcer Park So-young, a 'Surf Kid' who grew up watching 'SurfRIIZE' and a promising talent in MBC entertainment. Park So-young will represent the viewers' perspective and uncover the truth of mysteries with curious questions.

Familiar actors who are the faces of 'SurfRIIZE,' including Kim Min-jin, Kim Ha-young, and Son Yoon-sang, also appear as scene stealers. They plan to reconstruct incidents with dense acting to enhance viewers' immersion. The production team said they will provide a new viewing experience that goes beyond "watching the story" to "digging into the story."

Although Lee Chan-won and Kwak Beom are working together for the first time on an entertainment program, they reportedly showed fantastic chemistry. However, during the recording, both suddenly grabbed the back of their necks simultaneously, filling the studio with tension. It is also said that announcer Park So-young scolded Kwak Beom, her senior in entertainment, telling him to "get out."

The production team emphasized that the reason 'Mysterious TV SurfRIIZE' has been loved for over 20 years is "the power of the story," and they will maximize the power of storytelling in this new 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon.' 'SurfRIIZE Mystery Salon' will guide viewers into the fascinating world of mysteries.
